Generali
Overview
Generali is one of the world's leading insurance and asset management companies, serving millions of customers across multiple international markets. For this project, I worked as part of an agency production team on a series of explainer videos combining live action, 2D motion graphics and 3D elements to communicate complex insurance and financial topics in an accessible way.
The Challenge
The videos needed to communicate complex information without becoming overly technical or difficult to follow.
Because the format combined a presenter with live-action footage and animated graphic elements, the motion needed to support the story rather than compete with it. The visual language also had to remain consistent with the established Generali brand throughout the series.
My role was to turn the written information into clear visual moments that could guide the viewer through the narrative while keeping the presentation dynamic.

Visual Direction
The visual system was built around Generali's existing brand language, using its characteristic red, white and grey palette, graphic shapes and typography as the foundation.
I developed 2D illustrations and graphic elements specifically for the individual scenes, using simple visual metaphors to make the information easier to understand.
The graphics were then integrated with the live-action presenter and footage, creating transitions between real world content and animated explanations.
Rather than treating the motion graphics as decoration, I used them as a visual layer for the information: introducing concepts, highlighting important points and creating continuity between scenes.
My Role
My responsibility focused on the visual development and motion production of the animated sections.
I worked from the scripts to:
Develop the visual approach for individual scenes
Create the 2D motion graphics and illustrations
Develop storyboards and scene transitions
Animate the graphics in After Effects
Integrate the animated elements with live-action footage and 3D components
Refine timing, transitions and overall visual flow
The project was produced as part of a wider agency production, with the overall video combining contributions across concept, live-action production and post-production.

The Result
The final series combines live action, 2D motion graphics and 3D elements into a consistent visual experience designed to make complex topics easier to follow.
For me, the project was an exercise in translating information into motion while working within the constraints of an established global brand creating graphics that could add clarity and energy without taking attention away from the message.
